Gegenstand des Projektwettbewerbs ist ein Neubau für die Schweizerische Botschaft mit zugehöriger Residenz in der Hauptstadt Äthiopiens - Addis Abeba. Es soll eine neue übersichtliche Gesamtanlage entstehen, die einen effizienten und optimierten Betriebsablauf der Botschaft und Residenz ermöglichen. Die örtliche Bauweise und die klimatischen Einflüsse sollen in den Projektvorschlägen berücksichtigt werden. Die vielfältige und charakteristische Vegetation erfordert eine stimmige Einbettung der Gebäudekörper in die Umgebung.
The subject of this project competition is a new Swiss Embassy building with accompanying Residence in the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. The intention is to create a new, clearly arranged overall complex that will allow efficient and optimized operational procedures in the Embassy and Residence. Local building methods and climate conditions should be taken into account in the proposed projects. The country’s varied and characteristic vegetation requires the building to be harmoniously embedded into its surroundings.
